Cookie policy
What this site stores on your device, and how to control it.
1. The short version
This website is a set of static pages. It does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media trackers, or third-party analytics that profile you. We do not sell data about your visit to anyone, and there is no cookie banner because we do not set the kind of cookies that legally require consent.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store. Related technologies — local storage, pixels and beacons — do similar jobs. They can be “first-party” (set by this site) or “third-party” (set by another company whose content appears on the page).
3. What this site actually uses

4. Third-party content
Two things on this site involve another company:
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces used across the site. Your browser makes a request to Google’s servers, which reveals your IP address and the page requesting the font. See the Google privacy policy.
- Links to other websites — such as StreetLink, Shelter or the Charity Commission — are outside our control. Once you follow a link, that site’s own cookie and privacy policies apply.
If we later add online donations, the payment provider will set cookies necessary to process your payment securely. We will update this policy before that goes live.
5. Controlling cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Because this site relies on none of them for its content, blocking cookies will not stop the site from working. Guidance for each major browser is available at aboutcookies.org.
Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting. We do not track you across sites regardless of that setting.
6. Changes
If we add analytics, online donation processing or embedded content in future, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set. Questions: help@theambroseinitiative.org.uk.
This policy was adopted by the trustees of The Ambrose Initiative Limited and is reviewed at least annually, or sooner if the law or our practice changes.
